Some help here for HTML and graphic's, as well as a couple of really good tools which I've used at some point or another.
Definately recommend Irfanview for working with and viewing graphic's. Although not as powerful as say Photoshop, it's a really nice utility for free which lets you do batch coversions between file types and view entire folders of files in a neat window.
